Job Purpose
The Buying Ops Specialist is responsible to manage the day to day end to end-buying process from strategic suppliers for related categories (GF, GNF, Fresh, GET, and PL)
He/she will be handling successful buying implementation activities while working closely with key stakeholders to optimize daily suppliers' communications and orders processes
Functional Accountabilities:
Manage day-to-day activities from Buying to Pay to ensure receiving products with right qtys, Quality, and time
Report and monitor inventory levels.
Execute buying plans as per signed contracts and agreements for defined category strategy (supplier split/price changes)
Communicate and confirm demand forecast with suppliers to ensure issuing official POs with aligned and right forecast
Communicate and work with SC's different teams (planning/Logistics/DS) internally to deliver the forecast and ensure seamless order fulfillment
Manage system and tools deployment such as supplier’s dashboard, inventory reports, in-transit, and open POs reports
Manage the consolidation service for the respective category
Work with 3rd part ocean freight to ensure all orders shipped from destination operations proceed within the agreed time and qty
Track and report service levels based on OTIF.
Update MDF/Technical Sheets periodically.
Obtain necessary cross-functional approvals and list the new items in the system (RMS)
Work with QA Team to ensure all supplier's certifications are delivered and updated. Ensure alignment and fix the quality issues for any issues arise
Support TQPs (Total Quality Plan) led by QA Team and Supply Partners
Skills
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
Experience, Skills & Competencies
Minimum 2-year Experience mainly in Supply Chain
Negotiations and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in Arabic & English communications.
Knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
