Job Purpose
The Electrical Lead will be a part of the Cooperative Maintenance team and will be responsible for being the Electrical systems technical maintenance expert. The candidate will need to have a broad understanding of electrical system and equipment’s function and will be responsible for procedure-based electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, training, and project oversight.
Functional Accountabilities:
- Serve as primary technical resource for the Electrical infrastructure systems and equipment’s, with an emphasis on practical/field application.
- Author or approve work procedures to cover Electrical troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities, with an emphasis on assessing & mitigating personnel and system risk.
- Oversees procedures related to activities of troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Electrical infrastructure systems and equipment’s.
- Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) provisions related to construction, retrofit projects & maintenance activity.
- Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis activities in area of expertise, specifically electrical infrastructure systems and equipment’s.
- Oversight of Energy Quality management programs.
- Provide training to Critical Facility Engineers/Technicians and other cross functional teams on Electrical, LV , ELV, controls, switchgear, equipment’s/systems and procedures.
- Provide feedback on global Electrical maintenance strategies and global system design improvements.
- Review and analyze Electrical equipment’s maintenance data and conduct site engineering studies to determine the feasibility of introducing modifications to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Review, discuss and provide feedback for Technical Scope of Works and activities, related to new project or Projects impacting on current operation sustainability.
- Conducting Walkthroughs and reviews, for new or ongoing projects, and providing feedback and snag list, based on technical knowledge relevant to SOW, Local and International Codes.
- Manage vendor relationships and inventories SKUs recommendations for mechanical system maintenance and retrofit work.
- Other duties as required to support the operation of organization.
Skills
Education
5-8 years’ experience in Maintenance
Bachelors / higher diploma in Electrical engineering
Experience, Skills & Competencies
Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings, Single Line Diagrams.
Significant experience in comprehending Electrical plans, specifications, and equipment’s shop drawings.
Working knowledge of, UPS/battery systems, Low Voltage systems, Extra Low voltage, Building Management System, Controls, switchgear, Emergency generators Integration, Fire Detection Systems, Building automation systems and electro-mechanical distribution
Working knowledge of critical facility operations with experience or understanding of procedure-based work.
Working knowledge of Electro-mechanical systems, Building Management and control systems typically used in FMCG Environments.
Working knowledge of International and Local Governmental Codes and Standards relevant to the subject.
Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook
English and Arabic language (Written & Spoken)
