Job Purpose:

Ensure panda adherence and compliance to quality and regulatory standards (gov authorities MOH, SFDA, MEWA, GCC, Municipality etc.) by communicating and setting an action plan with the concerned department to act accordingly. Support Panda Retail Company in the QMS development, implementation and sustainability, through having the right updated policies, procedures and work instructions in place and in use.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Functional Accountabilities:
  • Quality Management System
  • Support in developing Quality Management system across Panda including Policies, Processes and SOPs.

 

  • Manage QMS in line with the Panda and regulatory standards.
  • Responsible to roll out QMS training to ensure proper implementation and sustainability.
  • Ensure functions are following and complying with the QMS policy and procedure.
  • Liaise on with Internal Audit and Quality Control to measure the QMS implementation effectiveness through their audit and inspection programs.

 

  • React on processes deficiencies and Support the Processes improvement.
  • Ensure the Documentation Management System (DMS) are maintained, up to date and implement continuous improvement.
  • Implement and report the department agreed key performance indicators. (KPIs), in accordance to SOP’s, Police and procedures.
  • Ensure the implementation and the sustainability of CAPAs that related to process deficiency.  
  • Coordinate with different department heads to review all departmental compliance policies.

 

Regulation Compliance:

  • Manage Government Regulatory Compliance and control systems to ensure compliance to regulatory and legislation requirement (e.g. Municipality/ SASO/ SFDA etc.) and align guidelines with main stakeholders.
  • Laison with and support Corporate Regulatory Affairs during Visits, Audits (e.g., SFDA, Municipality, etc,) and issues resolution to avoid any business risk or interruption.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Regulatory Affairs departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations and set a plan for timely compliance projects with the concerned department.
  • Supports Panda’s Projects to identify possible compliance risks and act as a governance role to ensure adherence to Quality Regulations throughout the projects.
  • Ensure up to date availability of the related required Regulations (e.g. SFDA, SASO, GSO, etc,) and circulated to concern departments as needed.
  • Communicate all New Circulations from regulatory authorities to the concerned departments and ensure compliance on time to avoid any violations of legal or regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare reports for Senior Management and External Regulatory bodies as appropriate to highlight compliance risks and set action plans.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes regarding Quality Regulation violations.

 

  • Support and oversee product/Projects trials from regulatory perspective.

 

 

Customer Complaints and NCR Management:

  • Develop and Maintain Quality Processes and procedures to ensure consistency of policies and procedures, to manage Complaints, Quality Risk issues, NCR’s and systems, legislative compliance.
  • Develop Customer Complaints System to ensure resolution and maintenance of customer satisfaction and Panda’s reputation and maintain effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system.
  • Non-Conformity System (NCR) Management:
  • Develop and Maintain Non-Conformity System (NCR) to ensure resolution and maintenance of customer satisfaction and Panda’s reputation.
  • Effective implementation of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA), addressing and managing the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system, to ensure issues resolution and risk mitigation.

 

Customer Complaints:

  • Develop and Maintain Customer Complaints System to ensure resolution and maintenance of customer satisfaction and Panda’s reputation.
  • Effective implementation of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA), addressing and managing the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system, to ensure issues resolution and risk mitigation

Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Food Science, Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any other relevant field is required 
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, food science or any other relevant field is preferred.

 

Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with (3) years at a Regulatory and Quality Compliance position.
  • Knowledge in Process and procedure analysis, development, and improvement and QMS.
  • Knowledge of local and international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, AIB, BRC) and Saudi regulatory authorities’ standard requirements.
  • Have experience in different fields of food safety & hygiene (Manufacturing, Retail or Hospitality).
  • Leadership, developing others, Emphasizing on Excellence, Attention to Details, Thoroughness & Dealing with Complexity.
  • Ability to identify and set priorities, plan, and effectively allocate appropriate resources.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
