Job Description

Job Purpose

 

The role holder is responsible for managing HR generalists team and activities related to his region to support the business plan and deliver their strategies efficiently. That includes participating in recruitment selections, learning & development needs, performance, career management and HR operations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in line with set HR Policies and procedures.

 

The responsibility also includes managing staff grievances, and provide solutions and recommendations to establish a healthy culture that supports business deliverables efficiently

 

 

 

Functional Accountabilities:

 

 

    • Coordinate with RM Operations in order to understand all implemented HR frameworks, guidelines, policies and procedures to assess applicability for operations and provide feedback accordingly

 

    • Assess and gather regional recruitment needs

 

    • Coordinate with Recruitment Department in order to conduct job-specific interviews for selected positions to ensure meeting operations talent needs

 

    • Ensure induction sessions are being conducted for new joiners to introduce Panda culture, values, management, location, policies and procedures, etc.

 

    • Oversee on-boarding process of new joiners to ensure selection criteria is fit for the business need, and make sure they are provided with all their needs to execute their jobs successfully

 

    • Review performance evaluation guidelines, forms and tools to ensure fairness in progress review and calibration ratings and alignment with planned individual career progression.

 

    • Validate calibration ratings of performance results received from Compensation department and provide recommendations regarding employee’s promotion,

 

 

salary raise, rotation or contract termination and report to Performance and Career Management for revision, consolidation and approval

 

 

    • Collaborate with RM’s in order to assess training needs, based on employees’ performance appraisal results and personal development plans, and accordingly manage regions’ training plans and budget

 

    • Ensure all records and data related to regional employees are updated and maintained in the HR system

 

    • Lead management of employee relations requests including contract renewal, leaves tracking, health insurance, grievance, etc. to ensure execution in a timely and accurate manner and employee satisfaction

 

    • Constantly monitor set HR guidelines, processes and policies to provide HQ with feedback on their applicability for operations and identify improvement recommendations

 

 

 

 

General Managerial Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

 

    • Contribute to a working environment and culture which engages all HR generalists

 

    • Evaluate employees within HR generalists and ensure appropriate trainings are provided to enhance their performance, development and work product. Address performance issues and make recommendations for improvements.

 

    • Motivate and reward employees as per their performance evaluation by recommending salary increases, bonuses, promotions within allocated budget and as per the company guidelines

 

    • Monitor and push the HR generalists for innovation, thereby continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes, procedures and automation

 

    • Identify and ensure adoption / compliance with world class trends and best practices in HR Business Partner with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement

 

    • Report to HRBP Head on a periodic basis key operational KPIs

 

 

Submit to HRBP Head and above on a regular and ad hoc basis input for business planning and operational improvements

    • Participate in setting performance goals and KPIs with HRBP Head with the appropriate measurement tool

 

    • Monitor work quality and escalate any pressuring issues in a timely manner

 

 

Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

 

 

 

 

Skills

Education

 

Qualifications:

    • University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent from a recognized institution/ university

Experience:

    • At least 10 years of relevant experience in different HR functions such as recruitment, learning and development, performance management and total rewards management, with at least 2-3 years of leadership experience

 

Skills:

 

    • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills (e.g. MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word)
    • Strong managerial and interpersonal skills for interacting with specialists, clients, and senior management
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
    • Strong writing skills when dealing with colleagues within the department, across Panda and any external contacts

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • The Regional HRBP:

      • Plans & supervises all HR generalist activities in the region, as per established policies & procedures

      • Will ensure that the corporate level strategy and service level agreement are understood by customers as well as his team

      • Will resolve any issues escalated by operations as per established policies & standard operating procedures

      • Will report any unresolved issues to Head HRBP for discussion and approval of recommended actions

      • Participate in providing RM operation with business trends and statistics to guide and support improving performance, improve results and manage cost

      • Support in building talent pool and manage successors for all critical roles with the best caliber with a fair and clear selection criteria

      • Ensures that HR generalists receives the required training based on the annual performance evaluation and individual development plan
