Regional Auditor- Food Safety

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Store Audit Program

  • Implement the regional Quality Assurance Audit Programs for Retail Stores to ensure that all the stores in the region are complying to the Company Food Safety Policies & Procedures, Regulatory Authorities Instructions in order to sell Safe and High Quality foods to our customers and prevent any Food Poisoning cases.
  • Prepare QA Audit reports for stores based on Company QA Standards & QA Checklist to ensure that all violations have been captured and highlighted in order to allow operations team to take the necessary corrective and preventive actions.
  • Update Stores QA Dashboard on daily basis to allow QARM to be updated with regional performance and take necessary actions and communications on time in order to protect the stores from any Quality related risks.
  • Implement and monitor the Stores Self-Audits and Corrective & Preventive Action Plan (CAPA) System based on agreement with Operation Leadership Team to ensure that have taken all necessary actions to close all gaps raised in the audits and avoid it reoccurrence.

Vendor Audit Program

  • Implement the vendor audit program for all fresh food vendors (Existing & New) to ensure that all Panda Fresh Food suppliers are complying with Panda food safety & Quality standards in order we purchase Safe & High Quality fresh food.
  • Prepare QA Audit reports for the Fresh Food Vendors based on Company QA Standards & QA Checklist to ensure that all violations have been captured and highlighted in order to allow Vendors to take the necessary corrective and preventive actions.
  • Update Vendors QA Dashboard on daily basis to allow QARM to be updated with Vendors performance and take necessary actions and communications on time in order to protect our customers from any Quality related risks.
  • Implement and monitor Corrective & Preventive Action Plan (CAPA) System based on agreement with Commercial Team (Escalation Process) to ensure that have taken all necessary actions to close all gaps raised in the audits and avoid it reoccurrence.

 

Food Safety and Quality Training.

  • Conduct the yearly regional Food Safety & Quality training plan to ensure that all employees are updated with all company and Regulatory Authorities requirements in order to avoid miss handling of food items that could happen due to lack of knowledge
  • Contribute in developing the training materials presentations to ensure that all employee across kingdom are trained on same topics.

Documentation

  • Contribute in Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to daily QA activities (Receiving, Storage, Personal Hygiene, etc.) to standardize work process & ensure product quality and developing strategic improvement plan to comply with regulatory and company needs in order to avoid any variances or deviations caused by individual activities.

 

Food Safety Complaints and Food Alerts.

  • Receive, Investigate and Collect Feedback of all complaints from concerned parties (QA Auditors, Stores, Customer Care Center and Governmental Relations Dep) in order to eliminate any quality risk.
  • Take the appropriate corrective and preventive actions to eliminate the risk in order to avoid customer dissatisfaction due to selling low quality or unsafe products.
  • Align & Discuss the results with QARMs to take necessary protective actions with the vendor and Re-Audit the concerned supplier if needed.

Packaging Materials, Equipment and Tools

  • Test all new consumable materials based on the agreed specs & Prepare tested items reports then send it to QARM for further actions to ensure that materials are fit & safe for the purpose of use.
  • Investigate all complaints related to existing consumable materials and send feedback reports to QARM to take further necessary actions.

Microbiological Food Testing

  • Collect agreed samples and arrange logistics with Lab and communicate tests results, to QARMs to ensure that proper corrective and preventive actions are taken to eliminate the risk.

Health & Safety

  • Implement Health and Safety audits as part of QA Audits to ensure that all the stores are working at safe environment. 
  • Analyze H&S Audit results and share with QARM to take further necessary actions.

3rd Party Service Providers

  • Receive and Handle all service requests from stores related to the concerned service providers (Pest Control Company & Cleaning Solutions Company) and follow up on corrective actions.

•Receive reports from Service Providers and communicate it to concerned stores then follow up on corrective actions implementation by the stores.

Skills

Education

  • Bachelor in Food Technology, Veterinary medicine, Microbiology or Biotechnology.
  • Knowledge of local and international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, AIB, BRC) and Saudi regulatory authorities’ standard requirements

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Process Improvement, Analyzing Information, delivering change & problem solving.
  • Excellent Communication with influence & persuasive skills.
  • Have diplomatic, tactful and resilient qualities.
  • Good command in English language and familiar with Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with different levels & multi cultures.
  • Ability to identify and set priorities, plan and effectively allocate appropriate resources.
  • Ability to work well under pressure or opposition, maintaining effectiveness and self-control in the midst of any one or combination of stressors including emotional strain, ambiguity, risk to self and fatigue.
  • Sensitive to the company & customers’ needs and perceptions by providing prompt, efficient and equitable service, involving other departments in the resolution of problems that affect them.
  • Have experience in different fields of food safety & hygiene (Manufacturing, Retail or Hospitality).
  • Have knowledge and experience in food safety systems, quality management systems, auditing and inspection techniques.

•Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
