Job Purpose
A completely focused customer centric approach
To assist in achieving the department sales, margin, other income and total commercial margin in order to support the company in achieving the sales and bottom line targets.
Ensure the commercial ambitions of the company are met, including sales, tcm , networking capital
Functional Accountabilities:
- Assists Category / Assistant Category Manager in the negotiations of the annual supply agreements with the vendors as per the company guidelines.
- In managing product categories, the buyer recommends the product categories to the Category manager as well as assisting him in implementing the category plan in line with sales budget and forecasts.
- Assists the category manager in negotiating and administrating the cost and retail prices setting (Product Margin).
- Assists the category manager in managing the total commercial margin by negotiating/follow-up the deals with the vendors and ensure the implementation.
- Analyzes and follow-up with the vendors the product sourcing process and complete all the formalities.
- Helps in managing the vendor relations by providing periodically feedback to the vendors on their performance.
- Analyzes the supplier availability in the store level and communicates to the category manager the outcome.
- Meets with the supplier to discuss the availability problems and come up with the right actions to overcome them.
- Suggests/negotiates the promotional offers and completes the formalities of the promo plan.
Provides information and contacts of potential private label manufacturers

Education
-Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering
Experience, Skills & Competencies
-0 upto 1 year experience in stores operations
-Fluent Arabic & English speaker
-Knowledge of using Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
-Knowledge of using an e-mail software (Outlook)
-Have good negotiations skills
