Fleet Operation Manager

Job Purpose:

Leading the Fleet Operation Team to Assure delivering all orders from DCs to Stores on time in full, while maintaining high utilisation, customer satisfaction and comply with Safety. Accountable to generate more revenue through increasing our back loads deliveries from suppliers while maintaining high quality and efficiency

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading the Transportation Operation Team through monitoring the KPIs achievement, coaching, following up any obstacles, provide performance feedback and conversations, coaching…etc to ensure the achievement of the set objectives.
• Accountable to assure that all fleet have full readiness and availablility in terms of drivers, vehicles, equipment and support.            
• Accountable for all outbound orders and delivery to stores.
• Managing all transfers between store to store or DC to DC and assure all transfers are recorded and received.
• Accountable to assing and receive backloads deliveries from Panda’s suppliers.
• Accountable to Develop Fleet Budget for the DC and assure it matches with Panda’s strategy in order to determine the requirements and cost for its area and team.
• Coordinate with DC Managers for Outbound and inbound volume and assuring that Fleet Operation are fully capable and aware.
• Accountable to Manage the monitoring and inspection regularly for the trucks with regards to the goods’ condition and the truck’s condition during receipt, transport, delivery…etc. by ensuring that inspection is regularly done according to the Fleet standards to ensure full compliance.
•  Accountable of being the First Responded for any issue in the Region and assure to inform Transportation Management Team.
• Accountable to review the build the delivery processes and proof of delivery received from the team in order to ensure proper delivery.
• Assure to plan all shipment with on time, in full, in good condition, and utilise all resources.
• Accountable to optimise time, transportation capacities, and cost by managing the schedule and routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, as well as benchmark delivery against best practices in order to be able to measure the shipping KPIs and make the best use of the available systems and resources.
• Build strong relationships with Store Management Team through regular visits and capture any opportunity for enhancement.
• Accountable to assure to have updated drivers vacation plan which won’t impact the Operation.
• Manage the Reverse Logistics volume by reviewing return reports to ensure that all returns have been fulfilled or investigate reasons if they were not and update Cost Supervisor regularly.
• Accountable to make new initiatives that improve the performance and increase customer satisfaction.
• Arrange for the salvation of Panda’s goods in case of accidents, and coordinate with related matters like customer and Admin Manager to inform delay and follow up with the case to ensure proper closing.
•  Accountable to develop and maintain professional partnering relationships with senior management team across all parts of the operations, promoting relationships at all levels.
• Accountable of Tracking Transport Operations progress against targets, analysis performance and provide reports with recommendations to implement changes for continuous operational improvement.
• Accountable to ensure that all contractual conformance are achieved in addition to operational compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
