- Develop the bakery strategy in line with the overall company positioning ensuring its relevance to latest trends and targeted customers.
- Benchmark the bakery offer vs competition across all 5P’s and develop action plans to address shortcomings.
- Manage the central facilities to ensure consistent high-quality product at the lowest cost to allow increased margins at store level.
- Review the central facility operations to streamline production lines, improve efficiencies, and improve product quality and shelf life.
- Ensure that the central facilities costs are controlled in line with the approved budgets and that all operational aspects are in place i.e., routine maintenance, health and safety, local authority requirements.
- Evaluate supplier capability, consistency, cost of production as well as adherence to Panda’s quality standards and regulations.
- Develop concepts that will differentiate Panda in the supermarket channel and identify the required manpower, skills, equipment and training to successfully execute the offer.
- Review the sales performance by region and store type, and develop appropriate cluster and assortment to increase sales, reduce wastage and provide a credible offer to customers.
- Establish the manpower requirements and technical skills required to execute the products and concepts and develop in conjunction with HR the relevant training material to upskill staff.
- Keep abreast of local as well as international trends, products and concepts and evaluate feasibility for trial within KSA market.
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure successful product launches.
- Review the bakery demand forecasts prepared by supply chain planners to ensure optimal inventory levels whilst securing volume discounts from suppliers.
- Develop together with SRD, Specialists and Operations a detailed execution guide for bakery detailing Planoguides, range ,production plans, bake off program merchandising and display guidelines.
- Ensure that the required SOPs are developed where necessary to allow effective in store execution.
- Manage the category team to deliver the commercial plans and associated KPI’s.
- Provide upskill and training to sub-ordinates.
- Lead & Coordinate periodic Range Reviews & Sensory Evaluations to ensure that all the products in the range are relevant, fast moving and profitable.
المهارات
- Experience within the GCC countries would be advantageous.
- Ability to maintain an effective stakeholder management across the organization and 3rd
- Preferably an international work experience with exposure to retail industry
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Excellent Presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong conflict management and negotiation
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Openness to change and willingness to act as a change champion.
