Head of Fresh Food Specialists

Job Purpose

Develop execution Strategy and ensure compliance to enable Commercial strategy to achieve targeted sales and profit, customer count, and basket size.

‘Develop action plans by cateogry or stores to address compliance, audit issues, training requirements and performance and exectuion issues,.

• Ensure the implementation of good practices and compliance with procedures
• Ensur especialist function is delviering value to opeartions and category team and that it can be measured via metrics

Functional Accountabilities:

Assortment & Merchandising

• Defining Assortment & Merchandising Strategy and execution plan in alignment with Commercial
• Develop a change management plan that facilitates the introduction of new categories/Items within Ops
• Provide structured feedback to Commercial on activities in the various operations and markets at large

Hygiene and quality

• Setting internal guidelines for Fresh Food store executions at stores in alignment with Quality Department & Ops
• Participate in the definition of hygiene and quality standards in stores in the respect of health regulations
• Define the quality process performance indicators with the quality department and ensure the application on the stores
• Together with quality and operations department root cause audit failure areas and establish program to address

Promotion

• Manage and lead the alignment for Fresh Food Sections in collaboration with Commercial and Regional Operations team to develop an initiative plans related to promotions & Planogram
• Develop SOP for Store Fresh promotions to ensure practical, well merchandised, food safe displays are built.
• Track the number of instore and silent promotions and determine root cause of issues and rectify.

Training & Recruitment

• Identify vacancies according to Manpower plan and align Ops to fulfill
• Identifying Roadmap + Training needs for fresh food at stores to ensure operational success
• Act as the SME for operational training and product training.
• Draft relevant SOP’s for instore processes

PROJECTS

• Represent Fresh where required in operational / supply chain forums that affect the operation of fresh on the ground
• Proficient on system and report generations

Education

High school

Commercial Understanding Bachelors

Experience, Skills & Competencies

15+ years of technical experience in relative fresh food section

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Application

Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

Strong Leadership skills
