Logistics Operations Service Specialist, IT

Functional Accountabilities:

• Work with Sr. system analyst to identify new business opportunities, new systems and processes; identify simplification, documentation and improvements in operations, identifying process gaps (Part of BPR) by analyzing in order to insure solutions

• Support team in doing housekeeping activity i.e., monitoring application logs, purging logs, server space etc. and take appropriate action if needed to resolve the issue if any.

• Ensure that IT standards such as ISO 2000 processes are being followed while implementing any new/modified process (UAT sign off and approval to move the changes to prod environments)

• Provide guidance, training and coaching to customer and system analyst on how to deal with specific technical issues to fulfill departmental requirement from IT perspective

• Report WMS/SCI application issues/bug to respective vendor and do proper follow-up in providing the fix

• Ensure proper deployment of WMS/SCI application fix in Production environment after successfully tested by move team.

• Maintain and troubleshoot of Application (WMS & SCI) and data warehouse and Purging/Archiving Prod Data

• Participate in implementation of IT Projects in coordination with Sr. Project Manager, Business team and System Integrator

Skills:

• Warehousing applications, preferred in Manhattan WMS, Slotting, Labor Management, Oracle Transportation Management

• Ability to design and build reports using SCI/Cognos

• Good Command in Oracle PL/SQL / MS SQL etc.

• knowledge in OS (Windows and Linux)

• Basic knowledge in Handheld devices, basic project management etc.

• Prefer PMP

• Prefer ITIL / COBIT etc. Service Management Certification

• Technical certifications (ITIL, PMP)

• Ability to lead and guide, communicates effectively, analyze requirements, and develop solutions in a dynamic business environment.
