Quality Control Inspector - Meat

Job Purpose:

Improve the quality of the meat items received at the DC, Implementation of the meat receiving policy in reference to Quality Standard Policy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Temperature check of the vendor delivery trucks and meat carcass.
• Physical inspection of the vendors delivery trucks.
• Checking carcasses storage condition inside the vehicle (wrapped by cloth, hanged on hocks and not touching the floor, not overcrowded…).
• Ensure that the supplier are fulfilling all regulatory and municipality requirements.
• Check and review the original slaughtering certificate.
• Checking the products delivered as per updated policy to Receive or Reject.
• Verifying that the carcasses are healthy and have no diseases present.
• Supervise the trimmings process by the butcher.
• Checking the accuracy of the labelling process and shelf life limits before delivery.
• Check the DC truck temperature and physical conditions before loading.
• Communicate the meat rejection form to the Commercial team and Quality Assurance Regional Manager.
• Fill the log sheets (Receiving log sheet, Truck and Chiller temperature) 
• Ensure that food safety measures are implemented in the meat receiving center (receivers personal hygiene, place cleaning and sanitation before and after receiving process).

• Good knowledge of English language.
• Managerial & communication skills
•  Meat Experience (7 to 10 Years).
• Meat Quality knowledge.
• Good Computer skills.
