Job Description
Customer insights & Behavioral:
Close monitoring with supporting analysis for sales, customers, basket size, district, regions analysis and action plans agreed to deliver sales and margins and target sales
Monitor and analyze promotional margin and customer perception in partnership with Commercial and Strategic buying for analysis and needed improvement ensuring alignment with Brand and perception.
ensure all offers and promotions are compliant to company’s policies.
Turn the Analyzed brand share and Customer insights into Actions & tactic in alignment with shopper marketing director.
Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends and adjust/propose new plans and activities accordingly.
Monitors the implementation of promotion process.
Collaborate with Category Management to develop and ensure execution of any promotion/ activity ensuring alignment with Brand Identity and Customer Perception.
Marketing insights & Development/ Communication:
Lead and Ensure execution Marketing and communication strategies as per company’s direction
Identify the suitable tools of communication for each business unit in line with the agreed strategy.
Ensure all actions are being delivered and executed properly.
Develop strategies based on market share research on quarterly basis.
Leading in defining and developing the brand and Marketing strategy and cascade to direct teams for implementation and monitors progress towards agreed deliverables.
Support Director of Marketing in developing and agreeing on marketing strategy specifics for assigned BU in alignment with Head of categories to deliver sales and margins.
Participate in developing the Yearly Calendar “Action Plan” based on the approved Marketing Strategy for the total company & Categories.
Align all team with agreed opening activities and new store opening ceremony for new store openings.
Ensure all actions taking place are within the brand guidelines and perception, with the alignment of category management team and operations.
Ensure all in-store communication as per agreed strategy to ensures a pleasant customer experience
Monitor the execution of the In-Store Communication Strategy
Assure an activation plan is in place to support the Shopping mission and value proposition
Assure the internal process is in place for the in-house Agency work flow and the shopper marketing team
Range & Branding:
Manage the development of promo theme in partnership with category Management & Operations team.
Cascade theme down to Assistant Brand Managers & other stakeholders within Marketing for proper implementation
Partner with Commercial, Operations and strategic buying team to ensure alignments of agreed initiatives to Brand identity and Customer Perception and ensure leaflet & other communication channels are in line with agreed initiative to support strengthening of BU positioning and improve different categories performance.
Monitor the implementation of agreed brand positioning and perception in all marketing activities across all channels.
Work closely with the Category management/Ops team; enabling them to meet their objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and Communication.
Categories Strategy
Manage the agreed action plans that support the implementations and objectives of category management strategies and objectives.
Agree & put in place support plans for new stores and monitor performance.
Manage and Monitor rationalization within promotional activities.
Communicate issues/concerns that may have an adverse effect on categories in promotions to category management to find proper solutions.
Manage Budget spending within an activity across his area
Manage & monitor marketing key processes and Communicate gaps within process and propose initiatives to enhance these gaps
Managerial Accountabilities:
Role models the ethics and values of the business, demonstrates cultural sensitivity, and maintains high personal visibility in his own and other departments.
Plans and monitors training needs provide professional coaching to managers to ensure that they have the professional capability to fully deliver in their role and that they are working on a personal development plan.
Plans and supports talent management and succession planning within his department and ensures all senior managers have a career plan
Skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, MBA or Professional Certification will be an added advantage
Experience, Skills & Competencies
+5 years of experience in Marketing and Brand Strategies,
+4 years in retail marketing
English and Arabic a must
