Business Intelligence Manager

Job Purpose

 

Architect the analytics ecosystem including the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence platform in a cloud environment in alignment with business and enterprise IT strategy.

 

Overseas the BI portfolio for transformation and operation project to successfully complete the deliverables on time.

 

Recognized as the SPOC for all the analytics around Corporate Finance, HR, purchasing, business support functions

 

Advise Corporate departments in their needs for operational insights, financial statements and dashboards

 

Influence business stakeholders by advising and promoting new solutions and support them in creating actionable use cases aligned with business strategy.

 

 

 

BI Architecture & Program Management:

 

 

• Direct and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.

 

• Lead a team of Architecture, Testing and BI project management Analyst to deliver projects in alignment with BI strategy.

 

• Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall data management roadmap.

 

• Experience in setting up processes, data strategies and efficient governance models which are aligned with enterprise architecture & organization strategy.

 

• Experience in managing large-scale, complex, strategic projects and initiatives. Develop plans, monitor progress, manage risk, and validate expected outcomes.

 

• Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.

 

• Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.

 

• Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.

 

• Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.

 

• Act as BI Program manager to manage and deliver all BI projects successfully.

 

• Liaise with vendors and service providers to select the products or services that best meet company goals.

 

• Managing the transformation project from BI side to migrate existing solutions to cloud technology.

 

• Builds and maintains relationships with business leaders to understand the organization’s business strategy and needs to proactively advocate technology solutions to deliver data driven results.

 

• Remains current with consumer, industry, and technology trends (adoption, usage, and related trends), the future direction of associated technologies.

 

• Support the leadership team in defining and building the BI strategy

 

 

Corporate BI - Business Partnership:

 

 

• Play a role of business partner by influencing stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable use case and deliver them.

 

• Implement the BI strategy for corporate functions in accordance with the company objectives

 

• Interpret and synthesize multi-source data to insights that will lead to actionable strategies and plans for the company strategy.

 

• Ensure that BI solutions meet business requirements and systems goals and conduct project from initiation to closure with focus on quality and cost and customer satisfaction.

 

• Manage the BI budget and follow-up the reporting on projects, KPIs and deliverables

 

• Direct a team of developers that will assess reporting capabilities and develop business requirements.

 

• Lead implementation of new solutions to setup the right BI environment and enable the business to achieve competitive advantage.

 

• Coordinate and collaborate with company’s software suppliers, Panda IT partners to make recommendations and propose software products and services to support the business

 

• Design, build and deploy BI solutions in Data Warehouse, Data engineering, data reporting and advanced analytics

 

• Create, manage, and collaborate with teams to integrate tools, which extract load and store data that requires process designing by applying the best practices and assure smooth running to make sure the data is readable and accessible on the right time and right format.

 

 

BI Testing & Quality Assurance:

 

 

• Specifies the quality assurance process that will ensure the overall quality and continual improvement of the BI project deliverables.

 

• Oversee BI testing team to ensure thorough testing of modules / visualizations / interfaces in alignment with analytics, Datawarehouse and integration team.

 

• Overseas Test plan (SIT, UAT) and execution for BI Program, align dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.

Education

 

 

• BSC in Computer Science, Engineering Degree, or very relevant field

 

 

Experience, Skills & Competencies

 

 

• 12+ years of experience in Data Strategy, Data Architecture, Data Management and Data Analytic.

 

• Exposure to the retail Industry  is a Great advantage

 

• Experience in managing a portfolio of projects in Data Management Domain.

 

• Exposure to Oracle Fusion/EBS is a good advantage.

 

• Preferable Certifications (PMP, PgMP, COBIT, TOGAF)

 

• Hands-on experience with large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.

 

• Direct experience in implementing enterprise data management processes, procedures, and decision support.

 

• Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices.

 

• Strong familiarity with metadata management and associated processes.

 

• Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, database design, reporting structures, and so on.

 

• Ability to manage different business stakeholders.

 

• Experience with database platforms, including SQL, Oracle. Cloud exposure is mandatory.

 

• Extensive knowledge of data manipulation languages (Microsoft SSIS), ETL/ELT (ODI, Alteryx,…) and Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE)

 

• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

 

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

 

• Highly skilled in IT service management (Delivery and Support)

 

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
