Job Description
Job Purpose:
To assist in achieving the department sales, margin, other income, and total commercial margin in order to support the company in achieving the sales and bottom line targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists/leads the negotiations of the annual supply agreements with the vendors as per the company guidelines.
- In managing product categories, the Category Associate recommends the product categories to the Category manager as well as assists him/her in implementing the category plan in line with the sales budget and forecasts.
- Assists the category manager in negotiating and administrating the cost and retail price setting (Product Margin).
- Assist the category manager in managing the total commercial margin by negotiating/follow-up the deals with the vendors and ensuring the implementation.
- Analyzes and follows up with the vendors on the product sourcing process and completes all the formalities.
- Helps in managing vendor relations by providing periodic feedback to the vendors on their performance.
- Assists Category Manager in the Promo Optimization process:
• Supplier Brief Communication
• Items’ Selection
• Promo Internal Communication
• Forecasting
• Signoff
• Post Promo Review and Action
- Improves Category Availability through:
• Setting MFQ and MDQ
- Improves Category Footfall through:
• Planogram implementation
Skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
• Knowledge of using Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Negotiations skills
• Analytical Skills
