Job Purpose
To deliver a customer focused merchandising solution for the selected range across all formats to help deliver the company sales targets.
Job Responsibilities
Operations:
• Define, own and deliver the merchandising principles across selected categories in all stores
• Ensure the principles are based on enhancing the customer shopping trip
• Ensure we support availability of product ranges by delivering target shelf capacities on all products in all planograms.
• Liaise with commercial and merchandising teams to ensure that we have the optimum ranges and capacities across all planograms in all stores.
• Provide operational efficiency downstream through the use of innovative replenishment methods (shelf ready packaging, pallets, merchandisable units etc.) where available.
• To liaise and communicate with the commercial teams on ranges for all categories
• Minimize disruption by ensuring that we only change/move products where there is a supporting business case.
• Deliver all range change activity to timescales and process defined by the merchandising department.
• Chair regular Natural Work Teams with stakeholders to ensure that the processes are delivered on time and to plan
• Work hand-in-hand with related merchandising business partner in identifying opportunities and resolving challenges
• Manage agreed mid category review product changes to the planograms using the agreed processes
• Update planograms based on the agreed category review cycle using the agreed processes
Customer:
• Ensure that all stakeholders in the merchandising process are kept updated on the processes and any changes
• Manage relationships with Category Captains and Managers on a day-2-day basis
• Ensure that stakeholder feedback is sought, reviewed and where applicable used
• Carry out regular store visits across all formats to review implementations

Education
Bachelors / higher diploma
Experience, Skills & Competencies
• 2-5 years’ experience
• English and Arabic language (Written & Spoken)
• Computer skills
• Self-motivated and passionate about improving the customer shopping trip
• Must have the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Excellent observation skills
• Strong problem solving
• Open-minded and has creative ability
