Job Purpose
Lead the end-to-end continuous improvement and control activities across all supply chain functions; to improve performance, eliminate waste, and control SC spending, which include:
- Managing SC income & associated SLAs.
- Manage SC P&L (CAPEX & OPEX).
- Managing SC physical capacity & needed resources across the DCs & fleet.
- Managing SC projects, disconnects’ resolution & cross-functional alignments.
- Standardization and governance of SC internal and cross-functional processes.
Key Accountabilities
· Lead identifying the Supply Chain objectives, financial budgets, and organizational structure in line with the company strategy.
· Achieve targeted SC income through approving the new suppliers’ contracts, negotiating the SC SLAs for contracts’ renewal, allocating SC OPEX down to the SKU/supplier level, linking new items creation to suppliers’ agreements, analyzing requested special orders & associated SC cost, closing DC rebate gaps, and updating the pallets providers terms.
· Control the Supply Chain spending within budgeted expenditure elements (CAPEX & OPEX), across the entire SC functions.
· Optimize Supply Chain physical capacity utilization through controlling the items listing, re-activation, delisting, DC/DSD conversion, and DC inventory level in addition to amending the DC capacity, fleet mix, and 3PL capacity.
· Monitor the operational performance and KRIs across all SC functions and lead the needed corrective action plans.
· Partner with the commercial teams to achieve the company sales, private label sales, importation range sales, and net profit targets; within the scope of SC impacting activities.
· Manage the agreed SC projects and represent the Supply Chain team in cross-functional projects while aligning with related stakeholders for their concerned business areas.
· Identify, prioritize, manage and monitor all Supply Chain improvement initiatives, in addition to related business review meetings and the associated action plans.
· Manage the resolution of audit findings and risk review across all Supply Chain functions, in compliance with the board-approved authority matrix.
· Investigate raised concerns against Supply Chain activities, manage business conflicts among involved departments, and align with the corresponding stakeholders on the needed corrective actions and contingency plans.
· Standardize and monitor the business activities across all Supply Chain functions; in order to improve performance and eliminate waste.
· Build and update Supply Chain standard operating procedures, in alignment with the internal and cross-functional stakeholders up to the executive-level authorization.
· Build, update and maintain Supply Chain reports, KPIs and dashboards for SC functions’ day-to-day work, cross-functional visibility, and executive team’s decision making.
· Provide SC analytics support needed for incidents investigation, business ideas simulation, contracted consulting firms, and strategic business partners.
· Manage periodical and ad-hoc requests that link the systems gaps between Operations and Supply Chain functions, including but not limited to: overstock RAs, D&E RAs, RTV requests, additional DSD orders, NTI orders, manual pre-issue, loose pieces allocation, replacement POs, incident reporting, temporary replenishment hold and store closure requests
Skills
Education
- Post bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering, science, or other relevant field with equivalent experience.
- Experience, Skills & Competencies
- +10 years successful track record of retail experience in SC and commercial functions.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without authority.
- Strategic business acumen with outstanding analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong critical thinking & process-driven mentality.
- Ability to manage complex business topics with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Coaching and developing individuals in a way that maintains effective working relationships.
- Language (Both English and Arabic).
