Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide technical expertise and leadership for the design, development, and execution of assigned projects and ensure that the projects meet predefined business requirements and are delivered on time, within budget, and agreed quality.

Functional Accountabilities:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and/or external consultants to ensure the successful execution of the assigned projects.
• Facilitate effective alignment and reporting on projects and ensures that execution is at all times within stated timelines, quality, and budgets.
• Develop and share project plans for managed projects in order to ensure that projects managed are executed profitably and yield the required results.
• Send periodic updates in line with respective Provide Business lead with feedback, encouragement, and advice
• Manage the projects managers within the reporting line
• Support in defining and updating the TRO governance model.
• Set up and monitor ongoing operations of projects through metric reporting, analysis, and identifying variances from the project plans.
• Monitor and report on project progress and budgets to assigned steering committees as per the agreed timelines and reporting formats.
• Inform the project team and senior management of reaching essential project milestones and develop and share case studies based on project lessons learned to support knowledge sharing.
• Oversee the work of external consultants on an ongoing basis and throughout the life cycle of the projects in order to ensure the optimization of external support and generate a high return on investment from consultancy services.
• Assist in identifying the list of external consultants eligible to provide the relevant services and work with the procurement function to issue RFP/tender as per the TRO’s policy.
• Assist in conducting technical and financial analysis of the proposals submitted by the vendors along with the relevant departments.
• Recommend external advisors for support on assignments in discussion with the concerned functions and facilitate the selection in line with Panda’s policy.

Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:

• A minimum 4 years of experience in project management of IT and business initiatives and projects in a recognized firm;
• Working knowledge of IT and non-IT projects life cycles and project management
• Ability to maintain an effective stakeholder management across the organization and 3rd parties
• Preferably an international work experience with exposure to retail industry
• Excellent Presentation skills

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information system, Business Administration, or related fields and a recognized Project management professional certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)

Language Requirements Fluency in English and Arabic
