Strategic Sourcing Manager - Private Label Non-Food

Job Description

Functional Accountabilities:

Maximizing value for money & Improve cash flows:

 

 

  • Implement and successfully execute buying plans with internal clients to deliver and improve value Improvement objectives

 

 

  • Negotiate and challenge suppliers’ quality, price, service, MOQ, lead-times & payment terms to generate best value for money.

 

 

  • Proactively recommend and drive efficiencies across the business stakeholders, follow through & work with cross functional units till the successful implementation

 

 

  • Identify and execute cost saving opportunities or improvement projects

 

 

  • Conduct benchmarking exercise to compare pricing and supply arrangements with other units

 

 

  • Leverage scale buying opportunities on getting high volume competitive pricing for Panda GNF

 

 

Minimizing business Risks by ensuring full adherence of PL GNF co-manufacturers to Panda and industry standards and eliminating supply disturbance  

 

 

  • Implement and manage sourcing strategies for GNF SKUs to ensure continuous and sustainable supply

 

 

  • Set Guidelines of approach for Supply Agreements & SLA negotiations/renewals for all PL GNF suppliers / co-manufactures

 

 

  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring PL GNF sources service and cost

 

 

  • Develop a flexible, long term suppliers network able to meet current and anticipated future opportunities

 

 

  • Manage & develop the relationship with key suppliers / co-manufacturers to resolve any disputes that may arise during the contractual period.

 

 

  • Support in the Product Development Launch plans in alignment with PL GNF products development team & internal stakeholders to meet business goals

 

 

  • Manage GNF portfolio and ensure no disruptions to the GNF skus supply pipeline

 

 

  • Manage and conduct required GNF periodic Tender

 

 

  • Manage PPV by ensuring that there are no adverse effects on Panada PL operating budget and highlight any sudden price change that can lead to impact the PPV

 

 

  • Co-Lead Vendor Assurance program working closely with Vendor Assurance Team

 

 

  • Participate in audit of Panda GNF major suppliers.

 

 

  • Identify clear quality improvement actions with suppliers and champion the completion of the process

 

 

 

Governance & Compliance

 

 

  • Ensure compliance to company buying process as well as continuously recommend process improvements to be able to achieve proper control on all buying activities & eliminate non-value-added activities

 

 

  • Ensure compliance with Panda Standard ordering process (issue on time forecast PO till invoice Payment) in order to maintain the right controls to the buying process

 

 

Reporting

 

 

  • Establish monthly orders transactions management reports which clearly detail transactions activities during the period, measuring activity v defined budget targets and other salient metrics, and bringing  transparency and clarity to spend and savings achieved in a timely and accurate manner.

 

 

  • Prepare and maintain supplier evaluation forms and Supply Position Risk Assessments to ensure no supply disturbance or no supply of the certain GNF products

 

 

  • Report internal customer service levels using defined metrics

 

 

  • Report service level metrics for all key suppliers and provide feedback to suppliers to ensure continual improvement using defined metrics.

 

 

Develop team capabilities

 

 

  • Coach and develop the capabilities of his/her direct reports

 

 

  • Hold frequent discussions with his/her direct reports to ensure progress of their development plans

Skills

Education

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or Engineering

 

 

Experience Minimum 5- 7 years’ experience in sourcing / co-manufacturing

 

 

  • Solid skills in contract negotiations, supplier management/evaluation and sourcing spend analysis.
